KaWe dermatoscope magnifies the superficial skin structure approx. 10-times. And illuminates the examined area with a halogen bulb, that is comparable to incident light microscopy.
This dermatoscope is use for the examination of pigmentary skin modifications, especially for the early diagnosis of malignant tumours. Moistening the skin with the special dermatoscope gel (KaWe Derma-Gel) prevents cutaneous reflexes and makes skin discolouration more recognizable and more easily seen.
